FCI Examination is conducted by the Staff selection commission (SSC) on behalf of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) on a vacancy basis. The exam selects candidates for several posts such as Assistant General Managers in different fields, medical officers, typists, stenographers and Junior engineers in the FCI to work with the central government.

Procedure of application

  1. Candidates must go to the FCI website (www.fci.gov.in)

  2. Click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.

  3. Register as a new user and note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.

  4. Carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.

  5. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.

  6. Upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines.

  7. Fill out other details of the Application Form.

  8. Click on the FINAL SUBMIT button to submit your application and proceed to the payment tab for payment of application fees.

  9. Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.

  10. Application Fee: payable: Rs 1000/- (Excluding bank charges but including GST).

Scheme and Pattern

The Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below

  1. Tier-I: Computer Based Examination

  2. Tier-II: Interview and document verification

  • Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.

  • Test will be conducted in online mode.

  • There will be no negative marking at all.

  • Total time allowed will be 2.5 hours.

Tier 2 (Interview and document verification)

  • For the post code A,B,C,D,&E candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Test will subsequently be called for an Interview in the post to candidate ratio of 1:3, to be conducted by FCI.

  • The document verification will be completed at the time of Interview. The said processes will be conducted at select centres.

  • The weightage assigned to Interview will be 10%. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in Online Exam and Interview.

  • Those candidates who are meritorious on the basis of combined merit in Online Test and Interview and whose documents have been verified successfully and their eligibility for the posts has been established will be shortlisted and considered for appointment.

Pension is based on the amount of money that gets deducted from the salary the the employee every month. This gets rewarded after retirement when the employee gets a handsome amount every month.
