ICMR National Institute of Occupational Health invites application from eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the following posts:

Post Name: Junior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in (Pharmacology, Molecular Biology) OR Post Graduate Degree in professional course (Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Pharmacology, Toxicology) selected through a process described through any one of the following:

  • Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests — CSIR-UGC, NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE, GPAT

  • The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IIsc, IISER, etc


Desirable:

  • Able to perform basic molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, Western blotting and Immunohistochemistry

  • Prior experience in handling various automated biochemical analysis platforms, ELISAs etc

  • Candidates having experience in mouse and rat handling will be preferred Experience in cell culture, in-vivo model of cognitive assessment (in rodent model) is highly desirable

  • Additional skill-sets such as molecular docking (small molecule druggable target identification, ligand-receptor interaction analysis) and microbial metagenomics data analysis is equally desirable

  • Any prior experience in handling HPLC, LC-MS, Gas chromatography instruments Experience in handling metagenomics data

  • Data aggregation from various scholarly databases Statistical Analysis using suitable data management and analysis platforms such as SPSS, Prism, Origin etc
