Essential Qualification: PhD with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout. Candidate should have good CPI/CGPA/Percentage in PhD course work where ever applicable.
Essential Work Experience:
For a fresh PhD, the position will be on contract basis for the first three years, and will be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of teaching / research / industrial experience (excluding however, the period of pursuing PhD) regular appointment can be made. Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences.
A minimum 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which minimum 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (pay level 12) in IITs / IISc Bangalore /IIMs /IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian/Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards/Senior Scientist in the reputed National/International research organizations/ Industries at the time of application. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of PhD students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.
A minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which minimum 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs / IISc Bangalore / IIMs / IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian / Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards /Senior Scientist in reputed National / International Research Organizations / Industries at the time of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of PhD students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents,laboratory / course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.
