Introduction
The Central Armed Police Force Exam, conducted by UPSC recruits Group A officers (Gazetted Post) for the Armed Forces and the CAPF 2021 exam is going to be conducted to recruit the CAPF Assistant Commandants Officers. The following forces recruit the candidates through this exam.

How to Apply
Part I and II of Registration
Candidates are required to apply Online at www.upsconline.nic.in with a two-step registration process.
If multiple applications are submitted by mistake, candidates must ensure that the application with higher Registration ID is complete in all respects like applicant details, examination center, photograph, signature, fee, etc.
Candidates must be ready with a scanned photograph(max 300 KB size) and signature(max.20 KB size), any one photo ID issued by the Central or State Government before registering for Part II.
All candidates, whether already in Government Service, in Government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications direct to the Commission. Persons already in Government service, whether in permanent or temporary capacity or as work charged employees other than casual or daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises are, however, required to inform in writing their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Nepal, Bhutan
No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules.
Sex: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
Educational:
Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) from any recognised University. The candidates who appear in the final year of their degree have to produce the final year mark sheet of the qualifying exam with the DAF.

Age limit for CAPF 2021 Exam
The lower age limit is 20 years and the upper age limit is less than 25 years. The age is calculated from August 1 of the exam year. Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1996 and not later than August 1, 2001 and following relaxations are permissible.

Scheme of Exam
The UPSC CAPF exam consists of three stages: Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Interview/Personality Test. All three stages are explained below:
CAPF Exam (Stage I ) is of 450 marks. This written exam consists of two papers-

The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test. Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test only.

SERVICE ALLOCATION:
Service Allocation will be made on the basis of position in the Merit List and the Service Preferences, which will have to be indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the Detailed Application Form before the Physical and Medical Standards Tests and the Physical Efficiency Tests.

Points to remember
If vacancies reserved for Ex-servicemen remain unfilled it will be filled by candidates from non ex-servicemen category.
Candidates must possess all the requisite certificates dated earlier than the closing date of the application. Also, If the result of the Qualifying Exam is awaited, they must make sure they produce proof of having passed the examination at the time of filling DAF.
For both writing and marking answers in the OMR Sheets use Black Ballpoint pen. Do not use Pencil or Ink pen. There will be Negative Marking of .33 for incorrect answers.
UPSC will take up the verification of eligibility conditions of a candidate only after the candidate has qualified the Stage I (Written) Examination. Along With the on-line Detailed Application Form (DAF) scanned documents in support of date of birth, category (viz., SC/ST/OBC,EWS )and other requisite documents are to submitted.
A woman candidate, who as a result of a test is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and her appointment is held in abeyance until the confinement is over
Allotment of Centres will be on the “first-apply-first allot" and therefore candidates must try to fill application ASAP to get center of their choice.

Job Profile
Assistant Commandant (AC) is a Group-A Gazetted Officer (equivalent to Deputy Superintendent of Police) in the Central Armed Police Forces of India and are called Directly Appointed Gazetted Officers (DAGO). These officers can reach up to the ranks of IG and ADG in their own organisations without having conferred to the Indian Police Service.
The nature of the work profile will be determined by the Force which Candidate joins. If he/she join BSF, SSB, ITBP, working towards the goal of securing the borders of India will be their duty. He/She has to ensure job training to keep the company prepared for all types of situations.

CAPF Salary Structure:
The salary of the CAPF Assistant Commandant varies according to the posts and and may be anywhere around INR 56,100 There are four parts of the salary structure i.e.
