Indian competitive exams are for the students who want to get a job in any government/Private sector or for entry in any college course. Some people have their goals to clear the competitive exam of their choice. There are so many competitive exams that exist in the Indian education sector. There is always a question that arises in a student’s mind: what is the required percentage for this exam?.
Not all competitive exams require 60% marks in class 12. Some require only to clear the 12th examination to be eligible. You have to pass 12th or equivalent in any stream from a Recognized Board. Some require maths as a subject.
SSC has different exams and they all have different requirements. Take SSC CHSL which is mainly you can give after the 12th. It requires eligibility criteria of 12th pass with the recognized board or university. It also has different posts under it. The one who applies for the post of DEO in Comptroller and Auditor General of India should be a 12th pass in the Science stream with mathematics as a subject or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. There is no such percentage requirement in SSC CHSL, while in SSC CGL that varies from post to post.
The Bank exams that require graduation to be completed or appearing. There is no requirement of 12th percentage there. Some exams such as IBPS PO and SBI PO have no minimum requirements of percentage. Some of the bank exams mainly require the percentage of graduation such as RBI assistant and grade B.
The Railway exams that require 12th passed candidates require the minimum requirement of percentage to be 50%.
While applying for the Defense exams requires certain percentage criteria. Some require 50% as a minimum percentage after 12th like MNS entry and Airforce X and Y. Navy SSR/AA requires 60% marks from any recognized board in class 12th. TES 10+2 requires at least 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Indian Navy B.tech Entry has no such requirement of percentage.
The candidate needs to be 12th pass to apply for JEE mains examination and there is no such percentage requirement in it.
