National Talent Search Exam(NTSE)

The National Talent Search Exam (NTSE), earlier known as the NSTSS (National Science Talent Search Scheme), is a national-level scholarship examination to identify and strengthen students’ skills, logical reasoning, and psychic abilities.

The All-India Competitive Exam is held annually for Class 10 students in two stages, Stage 1 (state level) and Stage 2 (national level). If you wish to qualify for a scholarship, you must pass both exams. The main purpose of this exam is to assess a particular set of abilities of a student.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for various students are different. The details are as follows:

NTSE Qualification Criteria for Regular Students

Candidates must be under the age of 18 as of the present year.
Candidates must be pursuing the 10th grade in a Govt/private school in India.

NTSE Qualification Criteria for Open and Distance Education Students (ODL)

Students who are pursuing their 10 from open learning or remote learning can also apply for NTSE exams under the following conditions:
Candidates must be under the age of 18 as of the present year.
Candidates must be full-time students with no employment.
The candidate should be appearing for the class 10th examination for the first time.

How to Apply for NTSE

Step 1: Fill out the registration form and download the application form

  • Visit the NTSE’s official website.
  • To apply for NTSE, go to the ’Apply for NTSE “present year” link.
  • Candidates must provide information such as their name, date of birth, phone number, email address, educational qualifications, and so on.
  • After you’ve filled in all of your credentials, click the’submit’ button.
  • The NTSE Application Form can be accessed here.
  • Candidates may also obtain an Application Form from the Liaison Officers’ office

Step 2: Complete the NTSE Application Form by filling the required information.

  • In their own handwriting, candidates must fill in the following details on the application form:
  • Basic information, such as category, address, and educational background, are all required.
  • In the specified section, candidates must attach their photos and signature.

Step 3: Candidates must have their application form attested by their principal.

Step 4: Candidates must pay the application fee set by their respective state/UT.

Step 5: Candidates can send their Application Forms to the Liaison Office via mail or in person at the liaison officer’s address.

Note: Before completing the application form, applicants must carefully fill in all of the information and double-check it. After you’ve submitted your work, you won’t be able to make any changes.
