ANM stands for “Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery” while the full form of GNM is “General Nursing and Midwifery”. Both the programmes are mainly focused on training of nursing. ANM programme is expected to illustrate the basic concept of nursing as well as first aid and primary medical care to patients, while GNM prepares students to care for patients on a large scale. This course is not limited to a single community function.
