Difference between D.El.Ed and D.Ed
There is no difference between the D.El.Ed or D.Ed except the course name of these.
The D.Ed course basically is an elementary teacher training course. This Diploma helps you improve your skills and professional practice as a teacher.
Diploma in Education is similar to D. El. Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education),D.Ed. , JBT, D. El. Ed. , D. T. Ed. courses have similar syllabus and course structure.
These courses also offer similar job opportunities as you can become a teacher or assistant teacher in government schools, private schools, Nursery ,Private tuition classes, Day care centres.
Both courses are specially designed for Elementary Teacher Training that is Upper Primary from Class 6th to class 8th . Students can apply for D.Ed or D.El.Ed courses just after completing the class 12th with at least 50% score.
D.El.Ed and D,Ed both the courses are of two year Duration, the college or institute should be approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
Career scope
After completing this course candidates are eligible to apply for state level TET and Central level TET(CTET).
After 12th qualify D.Ed or D.El.Ed you can successfully apply for the teaching eligibility test(TET) of primary level i.e for paper I
If you will qualify for a D.Ed or D.El.Ed degree after graduation i.e(10+2+graduation) you can apply for both TET paper 1 and TET paper 2.
