PARAKH
Overview
Despite the rapid increase in the number of technical students, little is known about their quality in India. In short, very little information is available about the knowledge and soft skills of an individual. So the project PARAKH is to assess the technical knowledge, creativity, and skills of UG and PG students of India.
Purpose
AICTE Student Learning Assessment(PARAKH) is to evaluate technical students of India and assess their overall Quantitative and Qualitative growth during the time of study in order to get a suitable job. PARAKH has been designed to measure the gains in academic and high-order thinking skills and the benchmark levels of the students and teachers to understand the multiple factors that affect skill development in Technical Institutes across India.
Scope
Collecting and analyzing data about students is only worthwhile if the data is used to improve the results of the students. The data collected by the PARAKH will be used to evaluate the high order thinking skills and performance of lower-level and provide the developed methods by which students can lead for a better opportunity in their profession.
