JAIIB Exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) for recruiting Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB). JAIIB Exam (a flagship course) is conducted twice a year as per the official site of IIBF.
Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the JAIIB Exam, you must fulfil the following JAIIB eligibility criteria as laid down by the IIBF.
You should be working in the banking and finance industry.
The finance or the banking industry where you are working must be an institutional member of the Institute.
You should have passed at least your class 12th/or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized board.
The subordinate staff or recognized banking or financial institution that are members of the IIBF may appear for the JAIIB exam if they are 12th passed.
The candidates who have not passed 12th standard or equivalent can appear for the JAIIB Exam for the clerical or supervisory staff cadre of banks only on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank/officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where the candidate is working.
No. of Attempts
IIBF has prescribed the number of attempts to appear for the JAIIB Examination as stated below.
You are required to pass the JAIIB Exam in 4 consecutive attempts, i.e. within a time period of 2 years.
If you fail to pass the JAIIB Exam in four attempts, then you will have to re-enrol yourself afresh. However, you will not be granted credit for the subjects in which you had passed earlier.
The time limit of two years will begin from the date of application for the first attempt to appear for the JAIIB Exam.
JAIIB Registration
Step 1: Visit the official site of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, the link is: http://www.iibf.org.in./
Step 2: The homepage of IIBF will be displayed on the screen.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Examination/Courses’ option on the left side of the screen.
Step 4: Select the ‘Flagship Courses’ out of the options that are available.
Step 5: Select the JAIIB as the exam name so that you can proceed to the next step for registration for JAIIB Exam 2021.
Step 6: As you click on the link, select the ‘Apply Online’ link and display the following screen.
Step 7: Fill in all the details such as personal details, educational qualification, work experience.
Step 8: Upload the documents required in the JAIIB Application form.
Step 9: Lastly, pay the required application fee for successful registration for the JAIIB Exam.
Step 10: Take a printout of the JAIIB Application form for further use.

Passing Marks Criteria for JAIIB Exam
The Institute has laid down the following passing marks criteria for JAIIB Exam as explained below.
The minimum passing mark in the JAIIB exam is 50 out of 100 marks.
If you secure at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all the subjects in a single attempt, even then you will be declared as having completed the examination.
