Teaching is a profession in which instructions are given to students. This profession is called a noble profession which comes with so much responsibility and duty towards students. Fun and learning together is the main feature of the teaching profession. In the teaching profession it doesn’t mean that you have to share your knowledge.
PRT (Primary Teacher)
The term PRT stands for Primary Teacher. A primary teacher teaches students at the primary level, that is classes 1 to 5. To become a Primary Teacher, a candidate should have a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). (D.El.Ed) is a 2-year diploma course generally comprising four-semesters and prepares a candidate to work as a teacher in primary schools.Eligibility criteria to the admission in D.El.Ed is 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate.
TGT ( Trained Graduate Teacher)
TGT or Trained Graduate Teacher are eligible to teach classes up to the 10th standard. For the post of TGT, one has to pass the B. Ed which is a two years professional course. The candidates have to select a specialization as per their interest in the B. Ed program, like Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. For B. Ed admission, the minimum required age is 19 years and there is no upper age limit.
PGT ( Post Graduate Teacher)
Full Form of PGT is Post Graduate Teacher. The Post Graduate Teacher teaches up to 12th classes. Post graduation is required with the B.Ed. degree for this post. However, some state governments and institutions recruit without B. Ed. degree (Only with Post Graduation Degree) for this post.
