How to be a good language translator?

Translators are the masters in languages. They are supposed to be great communicators. They generally convert the written and spoken speeches from a language to another one.
There’s no universal short-cut formula to become a good translator,
But still, to be a good translator, one must possess some important skills, like;
SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE
KNOWLEDGE OF THE LANGUAGE OF ORATOR
KNOWLEDGE OF THE LANGUAGE TO BE TRANSLATED INTO
UNDERSTANDING CULTURAL CONTEXTS
KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROCESSES
Besides subject knowledge and proficiency in the languages required for translation, it requires many skills from different arenas, ie; from communicating and writing to industry-specific areas. In addition to the above, a good translator must know how to manage the time.
Some other traits and continuous practices would be of great help to be a good translator :
Be fluent in speaking, reading and writing in atleast two or more languages.
Travel
Continually translating written communications and content, such as books, articles and journals, from one language to another.
Become certified
To understand the references, country specific tone of language and styles, etc.
Participate in Industry Events
Always do research work.
