Bihar STET (Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test) is a state-level exam conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board or BSEB to recruit candidates for the post of teachers at secondary (Class 9-10) and higher secondary level (Class 11- 12). The Bihar STET exam consists of two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II for two different levels. Candidates need to pass the written tests to become eligible for teaching posts in different schools under Bihar Government.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for Bihar STET Paper-I
Candidates must hold a B.Ed degree from a recognised university/institute. In addition, he/she must have a bachelors’ degree or equivalent in the respective subject for which he/she is applying. The Paper-I subjects are - Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social science.
For Science Stream, a Bachelor’s degree in botany, zoology or chemistry with B.Ed/B.Tech and B.Ed degrees are acceptable.
Similarly, for Social Science, a graduation degree in any of the subjects - History, Geography, Economics or Political Science (studying History or Geography is compulsory) and B.Ed degree.
Educational Qualification for Bihar STET Paper-II
- Candidates must hold a B.Ed. degree from a recognised university/institute and a master’s degree in the respective subject for which he/she is applying. The Paper-II subjects are: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Computer Science. However, for Computer Science, the educational qualification requirements vary.

Candidates can register and fill the application form by the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the BSEB official website - http://biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in/
Step 2: Go to the link to Apply Online.
Step 3: Click on the tab - New Registration.
Step 4: In a new window, you are required to fill in your basic details such as email ID, name, phone number, etc.
Step 5: Now, log in with your registered email Id and password to fill the application form.
Step 6: Upload the documents and make payment of the application fee.
On successful submission of the application form, candidates will receive a confirmation mail on their registered email ID.
