SC allows girls to take entrance exam for admission in Rashtriya Indian Military College in December.
The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed female candidates to take the exam for Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun, which is set to take place on December 18, just days after girls were inducted into the NDA, saying the Centre has already gone a mile and should take another step forward.
The Centre must issue the appropriate updated advertising in this respect within two days, according to a bench led by Justice S K Kaul, without modifying the timetable.
The respondent has already travelled a mile and should take a step forward, we argue to the Additional Solicitor General. We consider that six months is more than enough time for a well-organized company like the respondent to get its affairs in order.
The Supreme Court stated unequivocally that this would be relevant in this case. The procedure for the Rashtriya Military Schools, on the other hand, will commence in the academic year 2022-2023.
