About this Scheme
- SPARC aims to improve India’s research ecosystem by facilitating academic and research collaborations between Indian institutions and the best institutions in the world from 28 selected nations to jointly solve problems of national and/or international importance.
The strategy seeks to support the following important components that can catalyse impact-making research, in order to enable effective academic collaboration:
- Visits and long-term stays in Indian institutions by prominent overseas faculty and researchers to conduct teaching and research
- Indian students visit top facilities throughout the world for training and experimentation.
- Collaboration on specialist courses, world-class books and monographs, patents that can be translated, proven technology, or action research outputs and goods.
- Through Indo-X Workshops in India, bilateral cooperation will be strengthened through academic and scientific partnerships.
- Publication, dissemination, and visibility through an annual international conference in India with a high profile.
