Difference Between X and Y Group in Indian Air Force
Well, there’s a lot of difference between group X and Y. The ones in Group X receive Technical training like Radar, Engine, Electrical, Airframe, etc.
While the ones in the Y group receive Nontechnical training like medical assistant, Mt section, Police, etc. Since the X group is related to the technical field the pay scale for the X group is somewhat higher than the Y group. The one in the X group gets faster promotions too. So the X group has an edge over the Y group.
However, the X group has got the groundwork to do which makes their job tougher when compared to the Y group.
