Semiconductor Technology will be offered as a certificate subject at IIT Bombay.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) and Applied Materials, Inc. are preparing to establish India’s first semiconductor technology and manufacturing certification programme. The programme will be held twice a year, from November 19 to November 25.
The training will address India’s urgent need for a qualified, cutting-edge workforce to fulfill the country’s expanding demand for electronic products.
Semiconductor technology, including very large-scale integration (VLSI), a semiconductor equipment overview, and lab equipment user training will all be covered in the programme.
The semiconductor technology and manufacturing certification course is an excellent example of industry and academics collaborating to assist the high-tech industry develop a strong talent pool.
The certification course in semiconductor technology and production will cover semiconductor technologies, procedures, and the fundamentals of microelectronics manufacturing.
