The first batch of students of MA Hindu Studies is recently welcomed by BHU. The postgraduate programme is the first of its kind in India, with no university offering it.
The course structure is intended to raise awareness of many previously unknown areas of Hindu Dharma and to assist in spreading its teachings to a wider audience.
The course will be held at Bharat Adhyayan Kendra in partnership with the Departments of Philosophy and Religion, Sanskrit, and Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archeology under the Faculty of Arts. There are 45 students enrolled in the programme, one of whom is a foreign student.
During a hybrid-mode session, Rector VK Shukla originally inaugurated the course. According to him, the course is an inter-disciplinary curriculum aligned with the New Education Policy 2020.
