The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has implemented the regulations notified by the University Grants Commission on curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 in view of the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. These regulations are in order to prohibit, prevent, and eliminate the scourge of ragging. Ragging will be a punishable offense as prescribed in the UGC regulations and students found guilty of ragging are awarded punishment.
