The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPSEB) has agreed to teach Sanskrit to students in grades three and above, as well as Vedic mathematics to children in grades six and up.
Objective-type Sanskrit questions will be provided to students in grades 3 and 4, while descriptive questions will be offered to students in grades 5 and 6.
There will be three phases to the Sanskrit classes.
The principles of Vedic math will be presented in class 6, with only a few elements introduced at initially so that youngsters are not overburdened.
HPSEB will be the country’s first education board to introduce Sanskrit in the third grade, and instructors will be prepared to teach it by adding Sanskrit and Vedic mathematics in the Diploma in Education programme (D.Ed).
