APSC CCE Recruitment
The Assam Public Service Commission will hold the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination, for screening of candidates for the Main Examination for recruitment to the posts as per the number of vacancies, with the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination. The Candidates can read the notification and can see if they are suitable for the post.

Stages of the Examination
The Combined Competitive Examination consists of two successive stages:-
(i) The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

(ii) The Main Examination (written & interview)
The Main Examination consists of (A) Written Examination and (B) Interview Test.
(A) WRITTEN EXAMINATION:
a) On the results of the Preliminary Examination, the number of candidates to be admitted to the written part of the Main examination will be 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies notified for each category. The selection will be strictly based on merit adhering to the norms of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as per prescribed law in force.
b) The questions of the examination will be of conventional type. The written examination will consist of the following papers:
Qualifying Language Papers in the level of Class X
- Paper A (300 marks- 3Hours duration) in any one of the languages from Assamese, Bengali, Bodo. Candidates from DimaHasao, Karbi Anglong, and West Karbi Anglong districts who have not studied any of these languages in school shall be exempted from appearing for this Paper A.
- Paper B- English is of 300 marks with the 3Hours duration time.
The minimum qualifying marks in Paper ‘A’ and Paper ‘B’ will be 25% and not be counted to determine the final order of merit.
Interview Test:- The Interview test is for 275 marks. The results of the written part of the Main Examination is the basis on the number of candidates to be called for an interview will be about thrice the number of vacancies advertised
Age Requirement
The minimum age required by the candidate is 21 years and the maximum age would be 38 years.
Examination Centres
(A) The Examination centers for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination are BARPETA, BONGAIGAON, DIBRUGARH, DIPHU, GOALPARABISWANATH CHARIALI, DHEMAJI, DHUBRI, GOLAGHAT, GUWAHATI, HAFLONG, HAMREN, HATSINGIMARI, KAJALGAON, KARIMGANJ, HOJAI, JORHAT, KOKRAJHAR, MAJULI, MANGALDOI, MORIGAON, MUSHALPUR, NAGAON,
NALBARI, NORTH LAKHIMPUR, SILCHAR, SIVASAGAR, SONARI, TEZPUR, TINSUKIA AND UDALGURI.
(B) The Combined Competitive (Main) Examination will be held in GUWAHATI only.
