From the next academic session, the Haryana government will make mandatory board exams for classes 5 and 8.
The Haryana government has mandated board examinations for children in classes 5 and 8 who attend BSEH-affiliated institutions. This decree went into effect on January 18, 2022, and it affects all public and private schools in the state. It was decided to keep track of students’ development and perform a standardized evaluation of their learning outcomes.
In order to be promoted to the next class, students must pass the tests. If a student fails the test, he or she will be given a second chance to retake it. If, despite extra academic assistance and re-examination, the student is unable to pass, the student will be maintained in the same class
The authorities will announce the results within one month after the exam’s completion.
According to a notification published in the Haryana Government Gazette, all private and government schools in the state are expected to conduct regular exams for classes 5 and 8 at the end of the academic year or permit appropriate entities to do so.
