This isn’t to say that all of the designated universities are awful. Some of the Deemed Universities are excellent. After reviewing a university’s academic record, it is granted Deemed Status. The UGC grants Deemed status to only the best universities. Infrastructure, teachers, and placements are all excellent. However, the certification value is low.

Before enrolling in a deemed institution, be sure it is allowed by the AICTE. It is not a difficulty to study at a university that has been approved by the AICTE.

Deemed universities are not for profit institutions. They are self-governing institutions that have received recognition from both the UGC and the Ministry of Human Resources and Development. They have the authority to create their own courses and degrees.

The degrees that a deemed university are all recognized and valid. Degrees offered by universities that are not recognized by the UGC ARE considered invalid, and that is not the case with deemed universities.
