B.E. (Bachelor in Engineering)
Bachelor of Engineering is a graduate level program. You can do this course after passing the 12th class exams. Usually, after your plus two, you must take an engineering entrance examination conducted in the state level or national level. These exams are the windows to secure an admission to the various B.E. programs offered by different colleges and institutes in the undergraduate level.
B.Tech. (Bachelor in Technology)
Bachelor of Technology is a graduate level program that you can pursue after you pass your 12th class board examinations. To get an entry to a bachelor of technology course, you must take a state level or national level entrance test (depending on the case of the course you wish to join). These common entrance examinations secure you an entry into the different bachelor’s programs in technology offered by different colleges and institutes.

In India, there are two types of colleges, in which the first category are the colleges which belong to the University that offer degrees in several areas like Science, Management, Computers, and Engineering too. The other one that is the second category that offers degree exclusively in Engineering like NIT and IIT. The first one is the Universities that refer to an Engineering degree as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and the Institutes which are awarding only Engineering degree that degree is Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).
Both B.E. and B.Tech have so many similarities and some differences also, however, these two degrees are considered to be equivalent. One of the main differences is the study pattern, B.Tech is more on the practical implementation and B.E. is more on the theoretical knowledge.
