In the previous five years, Akansha Super 30, a railway PSU Railtel programme to help Uttarakhand’s poor children study for engineering entrance exams, has had a success record of 94%, the PSU said on Saturday.
Between 2016 and 2021, the programme assisted 167 students in studying engineering at IITs and other reputable engineering institutes, according to RailTel, who added that the current Akansha Super 30 session of 2021-22 is the project’s seventh batch. “From the start of the project in 2016 until the end of 2021, the total success rate has been 94%, which is an outstanding performance,” it stated.
The Akansha Super 30 project aims to improve the academic performance of disadvantaged but brilliant students by providing residential coaching, housing, and accommodation, as well as assistance in preparation for IIT/JEE, the most coveted exams for prospective engineers.
