Is It Beneficial to apply the CET for Government Job Exams?
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the first common eligibility test (CET) to hire non-technical group B and C government employees has been postponed and is unlikely to be held before the end of the year.
The CET will be conducted by the newly formed National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to screen/shortlist candidates for the above-mentioned government jobs, which were previously selected through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), according to Jitendra Singh, union minister for personnel, pensions, and grievances.
CET will make it easier for young job seekers to get work and will be a “huge boost” to individuals who reside in rural regions. “The NRA will administer a common exam to screen and select applicants for Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ (non-technical) positions,” he explained. “The most important aspect of this reform is that every district in the country will have at least one test center, considerably improving access for applicants from remote locations.”

Yes, as for different exams aspirant has to pay for different forms, and has to travel several times for different exams.
By CET one has to pay for a single time and a single exam will be valid for all so one has to travel once.
