Every student pursuing a higher education has a similar question or we can say a confusion about their PG degrees that whether to pursue a PG diploma or pursue a master’s degree. And are they equivalent to each other or not.
So the answer is that they’re similar and equivalent in a lot of respects. In most countries, both are two-year studies, and both are post-graduate degrees. There is no difference between a PG DIPLOMA and a Master’s degree in terms of full-time, part-time, distance, or regular study. One significant distinction is that Pgdip programmes are more professionally oriented, whilst masters programmes are more intellectually oriented. But in some countries not all PG diploma degrees are equivalent to Masters degrees it generally depends upon the courses. Like MBA and PGDM, both the degrees are given equal valuation even PGDM is preferred more as it is industry oriented course. So it depends on us what we want to pursue depending upon our choice and future plans.
