About
- Through some of its existing programmes, the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) facilitates various forums for scientists and technologists by providing full or partial grant-in-aid to scientific organisations and professional bodies to organise seminar/symposia, technical workshops, winter/summer schools, and other events, while the event organisers also seek funding from other sources.
- However, due to the lack of a unified database, the efforts of all of these ministries/departments, as well as the beneficiaries of these programmes, sometimes go unreported.
- As a result, another component of the AV intends to brand and assemble all scientific workshops and training programmes held around the country under a single roof and the “Accelerate Vigyan” trademark.
Objective
The goal is to broaden the research base, with three broad objectives:
- All scientific programmes are gathered and consolidated.
- High-end orientation workshops are being launched.
- Creating research internship possibilities for those who do not have access to such resources or facilities.
