About

  • Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) is collaborating with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India, and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), on Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM),an institution under the Ministry of Education(earlier known as Ministry of Human Resources and Development).
  • VVM is a nationwide initiative that aims to popularise science among students in grades VI through XI.
  • It was created to find bright minds with a scientific aptitude among the student population.
  • VVM is India’s largest science talent search examination for new India using digital devices, as well as the country’s first open book exam.

Goals of VVM

  • To stimulate students’ interest in pure science
  • To teach schoolchildren about India’s contributions to science and technology, from ancient times to the present.
  • Workshops and other activities will be used to give students with hands-on training.
  • To offer students with mentors who will help them continue their education in the field of science.
  • To provide competitive examinations in order to discover kids with a scientific bent of mind.
  • To recognise and congratulate successful students at the state and national levels.
  • To arrange for the awardees to visit various R&D institutions across the country.
