payal Srinivasan The procedure of admission to Jawahar Navodaya School is Admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas for Class VI, IX and XI are done on the basis of merit obtained in National Level Competitive Examination designed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya selection tests(JNVST) are used to determine admission to the schools. Before a student is allowed to take the admission test, he or she must meet specific eligibility requirements. Children are also admitted to Class IX and Class XI based on their performance in the previous qualifying exams or through a Regional Level Examination. Navodaya Vidyalayas provide free education. A total of 75 per cent of seats are reserved for rural children and a minimum of 33 per cent of seats are reserved for girls.
