Researchers at IIT (BHU) Varanasi have developed a novel charging mechanism for electric automobiles.
IIT (BHU) Varanasi scientists and a team of researchers from the Electrical Engineering department have developed a novel technique for vehicle on-board chargers.
The country’s main electric car manufacturer has expressed interest in this new technology and is prepared to build a full-fledged commercial product that can be used with existing electric automobiles. This technique was developed in collaboration with experts from IIT Guwahati and IIT Bhubaneswar. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, is funding this research. The charging infrastructure for automobiles in the country will be strengthened as a result of this technology, and people will be able to conveniently access electric vehicles.
