The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. he “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India

Objective
The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

Eligibility Conditions to Avail KVPY Scholarship

  • Only students who are selected in the final KVPY result can avail the benefits of the KVPY scholarship.
  • The student must have enrolled in an undergraduate course in basic sciences.
  • He/she must have secured at least 60% marks for general and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD in aggregate in class 12 science subject exams.

What is the selection process for this fellowship?

    The selection process for this fellowship programme is mentioned below:

    • Aptitude Test: This is the first stage of the KVPY scholarship selection process. students will have to appear for the KVPY aptitude test.
    • Interview Test: After the result of aptitude test, shortlisted students will have to appear for the interview test. The final result of KVPY will be declared 1 month after the exam and selected students will be provided with the KVPY scholarship.
