BEd is no longer required for teacher recruitment in certain Subjects
The Uttar Pradesh government has made a significant statement for applicants interested in teaching in the state. For the employment of contractual teachers of Grammar and Literature at the Uttar Madhyamik level in assisted Sanskrit secondary schools, a BEd is no longer required.
This decision will benefit candidates who do not hold a bachelor’s degree in education.
Dr Mahendra Dev, Additional Education Director, Secondary Education Department, initiated the action in response to the Allahabad High Court’s directions.
