You can alter one or more topics during your five-year entrance term, as long as the overall number of subjects does not exceed seven. However, you may make such a modification within four years of your registration in order to sit for Public Examinations throughout the validity period of your admission. For the first test, no topic substitutions or additions will be permitted. It is not possible to modify the subject(s) passed.
You must send your application on plain paper to the appropriate Regional Center of the NIOS through your AI, together with the mandated fee as listed below for all categories of learners, for a change of subject/additional subject:
Rs. 720/- per course for secondary school
Rs. 720/- per subject for Senior Secondary Course
