The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) is accepting applications for a paid internship programme. Applicants must be pursuing a Masters, MPhil, or PhD degree. The deadline to submit an application for the internship is February 28. The BPRD, which was founded in 1970, conducts research into police and prison issues, promotes the use of technology in police work, and develops training programmes for police and prison employees. It also provides advice to the government on how to modernise India’s police forces. It offers two sorts of internships: one that lasts 30 days and the other that lasts two months.

Candidates pursuing PG, MPhil or PhD in any of the following subjects are eligible:

- Cyber forensics and information security
- Police and prison administration

- Management
