  • Aspirants for NEET PG are concerned about the exam clashing with counselling.

While the much-anticipated NEET PG counselling process has recently begun, many MBBS doctors who were scheduled to appear for the counselling are in a pickle. The clash of dates for PG counselling and NEET PG exams has displeased PG aspirants.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and judicial hearings over the OBC and EWS quota problem, the NEET-PG 2021 counselling dates have been postponed. On March 12, 2022, the NEET PG test will be held. The problem stems from the date clashing with NEET PG 2021 counselling, which would conclude on March 16, 2022.
Many candidates with ranks ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 have enrolled in NEET PG counselling 2021 in the hopes of getting a seat in the branch of their choice. However, even before the previous year’s counselling process was completed, the National Board of Examination (NBE) announced the NEET PG 2022 exam. The deadline to register for NEET PG 2022 is February 5, and the results of our second round counselling will be released on February 12. A big number of students will be forced to register for the NEET PG 2022 exam and pay for both counselling and NEET PG registration as a result of this.

NEET PG EWS Quota: The Supreme Court has scheduled a batch of pleas for a final hearing in April

The petitions contesting the implementation of the Rs 8 lakh Economically Weaker Section (EWS) criteria in NEET-PG 2022-23 were sent to the Supreme Court on Monday for ultimate disposition. “We shall post these matters for final disposal in the month of April,” a bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and Surya Kant stated. We must now hear the case, and everything is documented in the law. The parties involved must submit a detailed written submission. We have maintained the OBC quota of 27 percent and will now limit ourselves to EWS criteria exclusively."
