The results of the Fit India Quiz have been announced, with Uttar Pradesh students taking first place in the preliminary round.
The preliminary round results of India’s largest sports and fitness quiz for students, the Fit India Quiz, were released today, January 25, amid speculation about which state would win the first round. Two students from Uttar Pradesh outperformed students from all other states in the preliminary round of the Fit India Quiz, according to the results of the nationwide competition organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The Quiz has a total prize pool of 3.25 crores, which will be distributed to winning schools and students throughout the tournament. The National Testing Agency, which also administers the IIT and JEE admission examinations, hosted the preliminary round of the quiz. According to the release, the top scorers in the preliminary round will advance to the state round, where they will compete for the title of state champion.
The 36 winning school teams (one from each state and/or union territory) will advance to the National Round, which will be held later this year. The quiz winners at each level would receive monetary awards (for both the school and the two participants) as well as the honour of being named India’s first Fit India State/National Quiz Champion.
