Plea filed in SC for postponement of NEET PG 2022
On Tuesday, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court to postpone the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which was scheduled for March 12. According to the petition, many MBBS graduates would be unable to sit for the test since the obligatory internship term has not been completed.
Six MBBS graduates have submitted a petition with the National Board of Test, requesting that the NEET PG 2022 examination be postponed to allow for the fulfilment of several conditions outlined in the PG Regulations by numerous hopefuls.
Several hundred MBBS graduates whose internships were delayed owing to their duty in combating the Covid-19 outbreak will be disqualified to take the NEET-PG test because of a lack of obligatory internship duty that was not their fault, according to the petition.
βThey have stated that they are victims of circumstances,β the lawyer said, βand that they were never advised at any time that participating in Covid-19 responsibilities would result in their being ineligible to take the NEET-PG.β
