The Rank required in Gate will get you selected in IOCL in the Gen category
The aspirants who prepare for the Gate Examination always dream of getting a PSU. IOCL is one of their choices. If the student gets a rank between 250 to 300 they will start getting Interview calls. If you want to get in IOCL then you should be well prepared for the interview. There is a need to keep a habit of reading books regularly. Some students leave the preparation for interviews after they get a good rank in Gate. If somebody holds a rank under 250-300, they start getting all the PSU interview calls.
The final selection is always a difficult one. In the case of IOCL, there is always a requirement of high rank. When the candidates get the rank under 200 they get selected for IOCL. But the final selection will be based on the interview which is always tougher. Candidates must be well prepared for the interview as even the top rankers were not get selected if they does not perform well in the interview.
