The first Cucet is scheduled for June, and exam results will be used to compile merit lists for undergraduate admissions at colleges connected with central universities, including Delhi University, JNU, and Banaras Hindu University, among others.
Cutoff grades of 99 percent or more at DU have been a major source of concern, as inflated scores offered by particular boards were unfair for other students when they were used to determine college entrance alone. Simultaneously, rejecting board exam results would have harmed school education.
Cucet’s original model will be determined by mid-February, although it will almost certainly be a three-hour computer-based/online objective exam.
Cucet will have two parts: one to test language proficiency and the other to test a group of subjects. Subject combinations will remain consistent with the streams available in Classes 11 and 12.
