One more new course launched by IIT-Guwahati. This time it is about Energy Engineering. Last day while scrolling in my chrome feed I saw this news article regarding the launch of a new course by IIT-Guwahati. I opened this because it sounds interesting a course in energy engineering as I heard it for the very first time.
So, from the academic year 2022-2023, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will offer a BTech programme in Energy Engineering through the School of Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Guwahati. For admission in this candidates, JEE entrance exam marks will prove beneficial as the JEE Advanced 2022 counselling procedure will admit the first cohort of 20 applicants.
Officials of IIT-Guwahati said that this program’s goal is to teach young brains how to take a comprehensive approach to using technological interventions for long-term energy development. In addition to the core Engineering subjects, the programme aims to bridge the gaps between academia, Humanities, Science, Engineering, Economics, Management, and policymaking by incorporating energy management, societal and environmental impact studies, policy-making, Economics, and other allied programmes.
