Santishree Dhulipudi becomes JNU’s first female vice chancellor.
Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit has been appointed as the first woman vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) by the Education Ministry.
Pandit is currently a Political Science professor at Maharashtra’s Savitribai Phule University’s Department of Politics and Public Administration. “President Ram Nath Kovind, who is visiting the university, has accepted Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit’s nomination as Vice Chancellor of JNU.”
Pandit has served in administrative roles in a number of academic agencies, including the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and as a visitor’s nominee to central universities.
