UPSC CSE:
Did you go through the recent news about attempts in UPSC CSE?? The Rajya Sabha was informed that there is no proposal under discussion for offering more no. of attempts to applicants for the civil services test in 2022. The Minister of State for Personnel said that the issue of granting age relaxation and extra attempts to candidates in the civil services Examination (CSE) due to the COVID-19 pandemic had been brought before the Supreme Court of India via writ petitions filed by aspirants.
The topic has been studied in light of the apex court’s rulings, and it has been determined that changing the present laws governing the number of attempts and age limit in the civil services test is not feasible, concerned authorities said. Candidates who had used up their last chance to compete in the UPSC exam in 2020 petitioned the Supreme Court for a second chance, claiming that their preparation had been hampered by the widespread COVID-19 lock down. The petition was dismissed by the Supreme Court.
