10 New Schools Of Specialised Excellence To Be Operational In Delhi
According to officials from the Directorate of Education, ten new schools of specialized excellence (SoSEs) will open in Delhi in the 2022-23 academic year, and an Armed Forces Preparatory School (AFPS) will open in the Jharoda Kalan area (DoE).
All SoSEs will be connected with the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE), which works in collaboration with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). Admissions will be offered in Class 9 in all schools and in Class 11 in the STEM SoSEs and the AFPS based on an aptitude test or a child’s shown interest in previous classes," the official stated.
The aptitude test will be held between March 15 and 30, and the online application procedure will commence on Thursday. Students enrolled in any of Delhi’s government, government-aided, or recognised schools, as well as citizens of Delhi, are eligible to apply. “At least 50% of seats in each SoSE will be filled by students from Delhi’s government or government-aided schools, with the remaining seats accessible for students from any recognised Delhi school,” a DoE official said.
