Extra classes, practice sessions to prepare students for board exams
Mumbai Schools and colleges that recently reopened for physical sessions after a three-week hiatus have spent the last few days ensuring that their class 10 and 12 pupils practise writing properly in preparation for impending board exams.
Extra lessons, paper-solving sessions, yoga, and meditation are just a few of the activities that education institutes in the city are employing to help students prepare for board exams, which will begin in March this year.
We had no choice but to conduct preliminary tests online due to the state government’s abrupt closure orders in the first week of January. To get pupils used to the practice, we’ve started inviting them to come to campus and complete 2.5-3 hour problems,“ said Sobhana Vasudevan, principal, R A Podar College, Matunga. She went on to say that many pupils are finding it impossible to sit for more than three hours at a time. ”These children require additional writing practice, and we anticipate that such paper solving sessions will be beneficial to them," she noted.
