History professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani appointed as the new NCERT director
Dinesh Prasad Saklani, a history professor from Uttarakhand, has been named the new director of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), according to a statement from the Union Ministry of Education (MoE).
“The Central government has appointed Dinesh Prasad Saklani as director of NCERT for a period of five years or till he reaches the age of 65, whichever comes first,” an official from the Ministry of Education told PTI.
Saklani is a professor at HNB Garhwal University in Uttarakhand, where he teaches history, ancient Indian history, culture, and archeology.
