If you fail in main subjects and want to pass by appearing in additional subjects then you need to know about this procedure.
Within six years of taking the Board examination, an extra subject may be offered if the additional subject is listed in the Scheme of Studies. After six years, no exceptions to the time limit are granted. This service is only available during the annual examination.
Candidates who appear in six subjects at the Senior School Certificate (Class XII) Examination and are deemed pass by virtue of subject replacement may take the failing subject at the Compartment Examination in July/August of the same year.
