Failed in exam?? Depressed?? Well there is a problem if u r not sad about it. Because this is what will get u going. A significant number of students are already suffering from exam fever, whether it is CBSE, UP board, or any competitive exam, and the situation grows even worse if they fail one or more subjects. Even if we have studied thoroughly for an exam, the results might sometimes be disappointing.
See, even if you’ve failed a topic or a test one, two, or three times, don’t give up. Keep trying until you pass the exam or exams. One simple rule that I myself follow is, I ask myself a simple question, “Have I came this far to quit now”? Believe me it works wonders. I have listed down a few crucial tips for dealing with a poor exam result or score and prepare effectively for future exams, which have previously worked for me.
a) Examine the causes of failure:
The most important thing is to examine it analytically in order to understand the causes for it. Why did you fall short? What could have resulted in a better outcome? Attempt to answer all of these questions so that you can increase your score the following time around.
b) Adapt your strategy:
Following a negative result day, this is the next most crucial thing to do. Tell yourself that the next time, you’ll be more prepared and won’t let this happen. Other than topic knowledge, work on the mistakes you made in the last exam. Poor time management, a lack of prioritization, etc. are all examples of blunders.
c) For your next effort, be optimistic:
This is what can assist you get out of your gloomy situation. Instead than dwelling on the failure, consider how to rise above it. Bring in the optimism that will allow you to move forward with a broad view of success. Just remember that it was just a poor day that won’t happen again. But keep in mind that “being optimistic” does not mean “ignoring the negative.” Being optimistic entails overcoming adversity."
d) Stop regretting about your failure:
You’ve failed a test and are feeling down. You’d like to chat to someone about it. Do it, talk about your concerns and worries about failing the exam; it will help you grasp the situation better and allow you to resume your preparation.
If nothing works for u even everything seems right, you must realize this is not something you are interested in.
