Centre appoints new directors at four IITs, including Delhi
According to officials, directors at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Delhi, Madras, Mandi, and Indore were appointed on Monday. Professor Rangan Banerjee of IIT-Bombay has been named the future director of IIT-Delhi, while V Kamakoti of IIT-Madras has been named the next director of IIT-Madras. Laxmidhar Behera, an electrical engineering professor at IIT-Kanpur, has been named director of IIT-Mandi, while Suhas Joshi, a mechanical engineering professor and dean of alumni and corporate relations at IIT-Bombay, has been named the next director of IIT-Indore.
