You might have heard people talking about job groups that govt jobs are categorized into. Government jobs have a number of advantages that might help you live a happier and more affluent life. Government employment are, in my view, the best career choice for the bulk of job seekers.
I have explained in brief all of them one by one:
1) Employees in Group D:
This is the lowest level of government employment in India. Previously, these individuals were paid in the 5200-20200 grade pay range under the 6th pay commission pay scales. Some of the Group-D or Class 4 government occupations in India include Driver, Peon, Cleaner, Mali, Guard, Barber, Cook, and others.
2) Employees in Group C:
At the local level, this is the largest government employee or staff. The majority of the positions are supportive and non-supervisory. Some of the employees of his category are Clerks, Multi-Tasking Staff, Stenographers, Assistants, Typists, Primary Teachers, Havildars, Constables, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, etc.
3) Employees in Group B:
This is the most common executive government post. This group’s employees do the majority of the supervision duties. Government employees in Group-B are generally non-gazetted, but some jobs are gazetted. JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer) in the Indian Armed Forces and SCS (State Civil Services) are two examples of Group-B positions.
4) Employees in Group A:
In government jobs, the Officer grade is known as Group-A. In terms of appointment and authority, Group - A is at the top. Officials are hired into this category, and they work in a variety of managerial roles within the government, which are among the highest-paying employment. Engineers, bureaucrats, and scientists in organisations such as DRDO, ISRO, etc. fall in this.
